Classically trained multi-instrumentalist Peter Linnane has a long history in the Boston music scene - as the leader of the 90's rock band The Madcap Laughs, playing with numerous local and international acts both live and as a session musician, recording and mastering engineer and writing incidental music for documentaries and commercials, he lives, eats and breathes music. Peter’s wife, singer and artist Samantha Linnane, adds harmony to their melody driven arrangements. The Farewells mix acoustic pop, folk, rock and a pinch of electronica to form a beautiful and eclectic union of sound. Their first album “The Shady Tree” (2002), displays a vista of dark twang and sunny pop. Their second effort “Litterbug”, a seven song EP, was released in July of 2011.

Thursday night, May 31 - We will be playing an acoustic set at The Gulu Gulu Cafe in Salem MA. Sam won't be doing any witch impersonations but we may be giving away free black cats or brooms. The doors open at 8.00 PM.
